Tasting Notes
The 2023 Rosé of Pinot Noir is our first Rosé in the Oeuf en Béton (concrete egg). The color is an incredibly light pink gold core with light salmon pink highlights on the rim. Aromas are subtle and slightly creamy with aromatics of white peach skin, wild strawberries, earl grey tea, and wet stone. The palate has a rich mouthfeel and is medium plus in body with flavors of melon, dried orange peel, pomegranate seeds, a touch of white pepper, white tea leaf and stirred lees.
Vineyard Notes
Coast Grade Vineyard, located in Bonny Doon is owned and farmed by Jim Beauregard. Planted in 2008, the 17 acre vineyard sits at an elevation of 1,238 to 1,350 feet on a southwest facing slope. Monterey Bay influences combine with sandy loam soil and underlaying limestone to produce wine with minerallity and striking acidity.
