2012 Beauregard Coast Grade Vineyard '828' Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
It’s rare if ever you meet a Pinot Noir aged in a significant amount of American Oak, much less one made with a single ‘828’ clone. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. A pleasant surprise with aromas and flavors of fresh blackberry, cassis and pomegranate. Discreetly concentrated with a likable touch of whole cluster spice complimenting the fruit. A saline-driven minerality plays in the background. Score: 92-94
