Saddle leather, dark cured tobacco, vanilla bean and nutmeg right upfront. Reminiscent of Brunello di Montalcino’s finest; (though not Sangiovese!) this Cabernet offers gorgeous dark cherry and dried field strawberry fruit, coupled with young fresh herbs and straw on the palate. Light, pleasant tannins balance well with the light to medium acidity to deliver a Cabernet that is food-friendly, yet elegant enough to drink on its own. A jewel of the Santa Cruz Mountains!

The nose is well balanced, fruit forward and highly perfumed with the classic coastal California Pinot Noir aromatics we all adore.  The palate is nearly full bodied with flavors which mirror the nose with rich fruit flavors of dehydrated strawberry, ripe black cherry, wet leaves, vanilla bean and oak spices.

The nose enthralls the senses with aromas of ripe berries, including dried strawberry, red cherry, and wild raspberry over soft, wet rose petals, forest floor, white pepper, wild herbs, white tea, sandalwood and crushed exotic spices.

The aromas are ripe yet have an old world flare akin to a modern classified red wine from Bordeaux. The nose displays notes of ripe black currants, black plum, cassis, leather, red tobacco, cedar, wet rocks, toasted oak and delicate oak spices. The palate is full bodied and multi-layered with a beautiful harmony between ripe fruit, oak, and earth flavors which reflect the nose.

Ruby color with a brick hue, fragrances of dust, mushroom, forest floor & leather. The balanced acidity,  and flavors of plum, hazelnut, anise & rosemary give way to a finish of lingering oak, pine, must & dusty road.
