Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Flavors of key lime, ripe peaches and yellow plums are complemented by a touch of new oak and a vibrant acidity. From the oak this wine gains pleasant notes of baking spices that do not overwhelm the wine's natural minerality.
Vineyard Notes
Meyley vineyard is located on Bonny Doon Road in the mountain community of Bonny Doon, CA on a south facing slope. The Vineyard is farmed by Jim Beauregard. Planted in 1982, the 12 acre vineyard sits at an elevation of 1,700 feet. Monterey Bay influences combine with sandstone and loamy soils to produce wines with bright minerality and clean, crisp acidity.
Production Notes
Only 150 cases produced. Aged for 30 months. Our standard minimal impact wine making techniques including native yeast fermentation allow this wine to show exceptional Santa Cruz Mountains Terrior (flavor of the land).
Food Pairing Notes
Butternut squash soup.
