A balanced blend of four clones of Pinot Noir from our newest estate vineyard in Bonny Doon, CA. Hints of violet, dried sage and plum come together on the nose with a distinct salinity from the coastal fog that sits on the grapes. Cherry, fig, strawberry and light earthiness are present on the palate. With bright acidity, soft tannins and lingering spice on the finish.
In the glass there are notes of strawberry, rose petal, a smokiness & light violet. On the palate it is followed by raspberry, red cherry, cranberry & a light earthiness. Finishing with spice, dust, balanced tannins & acid.
This Opaque and dark purple syrah leads into expressions of black and blue berry preserves intermingled with notes of herbs de Provence and Corrilitos smoked meats. This wine shows an immense savory mouth feel loaded with black berry, black cherry and stewed plums all surrounded by lavish vanillin’s and a touch of toasty oak. Lightly-toasted oak, a touch of vanilla cream, new tires and a hint of fresh-cured leather on the nose. Ripe dark cherry and cassis fruit are pervasive throughout this wine’s long, rich finish. Well balanced acidity intermingles well with the generous fruit profile for a truly sultry syrah experience.
Ruby color with a brick hue, fragrances of dust, mushroom, forest floor & leather. The balanced acidity, and flavors of plum, hazelnut, anise & rosemary give way to a finish of lingering oak, pine, must & dusty road.
