Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
In the glass: Floral and earthy; now showing early season stone fruits, granite, graphite, and carob.
In the mouth: Roasted fig, carob, leather, minerality.
The finish is longer and more silk like; vanilla, creme brulee, slightly bitter green apple.
Vineyard Notes
Muns Vineyard is located at the top of the Summit area in the Santa Cruz Mountains on a southwest facing slope. The vineyard is owned and farmed by Ed Muns. Planted in 1998, the 13 acre vineyard sits impressively at 2600 feet. Monterey Bay influences combined with sandstone and loamy soils produce wines with minerality and striking acidity. Pinot Noir Clones 114, 115, 667, 777.
