Monterey Bay marine influences combine with the rare white sandy Zayante soil to produces wines with minerality and striking acidity. Plantings: 33 acres Chardonnay Clone 4. 7 acres Pinot Noir; Pommard, 667, Mt. Eden.

Winemaker Notes
This vintage was one of the greatest challenges in my winemaking career. We were plagued with the coldest growing season on record since 1954. Additionally, we had a disastrous torrential downpour in late June during bloom that destroyed 80% of our crop. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and settled in a stainless steel tank overnight. It was then moved to matured American Oak where it fermented with native yeasts for 23 days. The wine stayed aging on the lees for 11 months before bottling.

One of winemakers top pics. Very Chablis like. Lean and mean. LOVE.
