Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
In the glass: Soft green apple, yellow apple, yellow and white flowers with green pear and melon skin.
In the mouth: The wine displays a very reserved nature that blends apples, stone fruits of peach, pear and nectarine, vanilla oil spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom.
The finish: Dry and lean striking acidity that allows the small nuances of this wine to show through.
Vineyard Notes
Meyley Vineyard is located inthe mountain community of Bonny Doon, CA on a southern facing slope. The vineyard is farmed by Jim Beauregard. Planted in 1982, the 12 acre vineyard sits at an elevation of 1700 feet. Monterey Bay influences combine with sandstone and loamy soild to produce wines with bright minerality, and clean crisp acidity.
Production Notes
144 cases produced. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and settled in a stainless steel tank over night. It was then moved to new American Oak where it fermented with native yeast for 23 days. The wine stayed aging on the lees for 32 months before bottling. Extended aging makes the wine rich and complex.
