Tasting Notes
Almost crystal-clear in the glass with a touch of green, this bottling shows broad aromas of crisp asian pear, peach, squeezed lime and wet stone. There is a sharp texture and tension from sip to satisfying sip. The palate matches the aromas with elegant flavors of stone fruit, lime zest, and a unmistakable minerality that can only come from the Santa Cruz Mountains that is beautifully framed with striking acidity. Serve slightly chilled (45F) in a large Bordeaux stem.

Ascona Vineyards is located off of Skyline Boulevard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The vineyard is planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir. Originally planted in 2002, the 4/5 acres vineyard sits at an elevation of 2,500 feet.
